Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received the representatives of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College

00On April 29, 2024 the Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received a delegation headed by Mr. Diao Jiangdong Wang, Director of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed issues of cooperation in the field of international e-commerce, and as a result, signed a memorandum of understanding. The meeting was also attended by Li Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Faculty of Trans-Border E-Commerce of the Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, Liu Xiquan, the Head of the International Trade Department of the College, Wang Bahong, the Head of the Department of International Seminars of the College, Nazik Shatmanova, the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jyldyz Usonbaeva Director of the Confucius Institute under KNU from the Kyrgyz side; Chen Zhiguo, Director of the Confucius Institute under KNU from the Chinese side, Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the department for international cooperation and relations, and Burul Nazarmatova, Deputy Director of the department for international cooperation and relations.

 

Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received a delegation from Pai Chai University of the Republic of Korea

On April 23, 2024 KNU Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received the Director for International Relations of Pai Chai University (Daejeon, Republic of Korea), Mr. Park Ryan Chongsok. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two universities and signed a memorandum of understanding between Pai Chai University and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn. During the meeting, key issues were raised regarding deepening the relationship between Pai Chai University and KNU. The Rector of KNU expressed his readiness for further cooperation and emphasized the importance of sharing experience and knowledge.

 

Rector received representatives of the University of Poitiers from France

On April 23, 2024 the Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received representatives of the University of Poitiers from France. At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty Anara Kamalova introduced the guests from France to the Rector as follows: Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Honorary Professor of KNU Philippe Rojon, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Economic Sciences Dominique Pepinne and statistics teacher Eliane Jan.

 

A delegation from Jiaxing-Nanyang Vocational and Technical Institute visited KNU

00On April 22, 2024 the team of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute, led by Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov, met the delegation of the Jiaxing-Nanyang Vocational and Technical Institute consisting of the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Xuzhou District, Mr. Chen Yueqian, Chairman of the People’s Congress of Honghe City, Mr. Zhang Jianrong, Secretary General of Jiaxing Honghe Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Xu Wei, Vice President of Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational Institute Ms. Feng Liwei and others.

 

Rector received representatives of Keimyung University from Daegu, Republic of Korea

00On April 16, 2024 Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received Mr. Park Kihyun, Professor of the Faculty of Computer Science at Keimyung University. During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the field of information technology between the two universities were discussed, as well as the process of implementing a 7-year international cooperation project, which is aimed at creating a department of artificial intelligence and changing the curriculum to strengthen the staff of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of KNU.

 

Rector met with Enactus KNU team members

00On April 12, 2024 Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov met with members of the Enactus KNU team under the Department of Youth Policy and Sports. At the beginning of the meeting, Director of the Department, Almazbek Kadyr uulu, introduced the work and projects of the Enactus KNU team. According to him, the team is working with 2 projects and is currently preparing for the National Cup among higher education institutions, which will be held on July 1-3. The mission of the team is “to make the lives of needy people sustainable by creating new products for the prosperity of Kyrgyzstan”. One of the projects developed by the team is called “Jem Ordo” (ЖемОрдо). This project aims to producing ecological animal feed through a food waste recycling system using extrusion technology. The second project is “Birikken” (Бириккен). The goal of the project is to reduce the amount of waste from sewing factories by producing various national patchwork styled products (kurak), to develop the kurak culture and to expand the opportunities of women from vulnerable segments of the population.

 

Rector received the President of the Japanese company Digital Knowledge

00On April 11, 2024 Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received the President of the Japanese company Digital Knowledge, Mr. Hiroaki Haga. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between KNU and the Japanese company were discussed and a memorandum of cooperation was signed.The President of Digital Knowledge thanked the Rector of KNU for the reception and briefly spoke about the activities of his company. According to him, Digital Knowledge, along with other projects, is also engaged in educational activities, namely e-learning and consultations to support education in the IT field. Further, he said: “Due to the fact that in Japan there are fewer and fewer young people, and more and more older generations, I would like to cooperate with the National University in the field of education.” According to our project, your students could study at 5 historical universities that provide quality education, gain good experience in Japan, and then return to Kyrgyzstan and contribute to the development of their home country.

 

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan visited KNU

00On April 11, 2024 KNU was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Sandor Dorogi. The permanent diplomatic representative of the Central European state was received by the Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation between the Kyrgyz National University and Hungarian universities in the field of education and science.

 

Vice-Rector J.Beksultanov received representatives of Nagaoka University of Technology (Japan)

00On April 9, 2024 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Jenish Beksultanov received a senior researcher at the Japanese Cabinet Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, as well as a special adviser to the President, professor of the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Nagaoka University of Technology (Nigata) Mr. Tadachiku Nakayama and a representative of IBSysytem Co. Shigeru Wakakuwa.

 

Rector of KNU and Director of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences signed a Cooperation Agreement

On April 5, 2024 the Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdrakhmanov received the Director of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Kirill Babaev. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two universities in various areas, including the exchange of scientific personnel, conducting joint scientific research and publications, organizing joint events (conferences, round tables, summer schools, exchange of lecturers), as well as the development of educational cooperation, including participation in dissertation advice of foreign scientists, and the issues of students and teachers exchange. 

 

A cooperation agreement is signed between KNU and NSTU (Novosibirsk)

On April 4, 2024 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Jenish Beksultanov received the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Novosibirsk State Technical University, Sergei Sergeevich Chernov. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the two universities in the field of higher education, including joint educational programs, student exchange, research cooperation and academic exchanges. They also discussed the possibilities of developing educational programs in the fields of artificial intelligence and information technology, as well as strategies for improving the preparation of applicants through cooperation with schools. 

 

Akylbek Japarov gave a lecture to students of the National University and of other regional universities

On April 3, 2024 the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Akylbek Japarov gave a lecture to students and faculty members of the Kyrgyz National University in the large conference hall of the main building. Students of Osh State University and Osh Technical University also took part in the event online. The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers spoke about world economic trends, priority areas of the government's work, reforms carried out in the country, implementation of strategic infrastructure projects and plans of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2024. 

 

The Chinese Ambassador gave a guest lecture to the students of KNU

On March 28, 2024 the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan, Ms. Du Dewen, met with students of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute and the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies.  Ms. Ambassador gave a guest lecture on the topic “Creation of a community of common humanity is the noble goal of China’s diplomacy”. Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov opened the event and expressed his pleasure to see Mrs. Du Dewen at the National University and thanked her for taking the time to give a lecture to the students.

 

Six master's programs of KNU underwent International Expertise Examination

00On March 28, 2024 the final meeting of members of the external expert commission on international program accreditation of the master's educational programs of KNU took place. The following directions were examined: 581000 Marketing, 540200 Social Work, 532300 Chinese Studies, 710200 Information Systems and Technologies, 710400 Software Engineering, and 510300 Information Technologies. The event was opened by Eric Esentaev - the Director of the Independent Accreditation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic "Bilim-Standart" who then gave the word to Galina Motova - the Director of the National Center for Professional Social Accreditation of the Russian Federation.

 

Representatives of the Interuniversity Agency of Francophonie visited KNU

00On March 14, 2024 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Jenish Beksultanov received the Regional Director of the Interuniversity Agency of Francophonie, Mr. Mohamed Ketatu. During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of deepening the relationship between the IUAF and KNU, as well as the possibilities of joint work. The Vice-rector expressed his readiness for further cooperation and emphasized the importance of sharing experience and knowledge.
