On May 16, 2024 Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received a delegation from Northwestern University of China led by the Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Jian Lin. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of academic cooperation in the field of international teaching of the Chinese language, archaeological research and signed a corresponding agreement. Director of the Department of International Cooperation Ren Huilian spoke about the features of the international activities of NWU, the training of foreign students and the opening of the archaeological research center of the Silk Road.

Representatives of the Silk Road Institute, Management and Situational Communication spoke on the features of their institutions and examined opportunities for cooperation.
