On May 14, 2024 representatives of Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov (Samarkand, Uzbekistan) visited the Kyrgyz National University. The guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Jenish Beksultanov. During the dialogue, the following issues of further cooperation were discussed: double degree programs in the areas of “Philosophy”, “Social Work”; implementation of an academic exchange program for students, undergraduates and teaching staff, as well as joint publications of educational and scientific publications.

The Head of the Department of Philosophy and National Idea Samadov A.R. noted that “The cultures of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are rich and diverse. They reflect centuries of history, ethnic diversity and the influence of different civilizations. Thus, our cooperation will allow us to understand and deeply study the historical heritage, traditional arts, etc. We deeply honor the work of Chingiz Torokulovich Aitmatov and would like to propose holding a joint international conference dedicated to the work of Aitmatov.”

The meeting was attended by the Director and Heads of departments of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities.
