On March 6, 2024 the Special and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kyrgyzstan Mr. Golam Hossein Yadegari came to the National University. During the meeting with Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov, the parties discussed issues related to the improvement of cooperation between the Embassy and KNU and the opening of the Iran Center in the future. The meeting was attended by Chairperson of the Kyrgyzstan Women’s Congress Zamira Akbagysheva, Director of the Institute of History and Regional Studies Turatbek Syrdabaev, Director of the International Cooperation and Relations Department Bakyt Keldibekov.

After meeting with the Rector, the Iranian Ambassador got acquainted with the Institute of History and Regional Studies and had an interview with the heads of the Institute of Science and Culture on scientific and cultural cooperation.
