On April 23, 2024 KNU Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov received the Director for International Relations of Pai Chai University (Daejeon, Republic of Korea), Mr. Park Ryan Chongsok. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two universities and signed a memorandum of understanding between Pai Chai University and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn. During the meeting, key issues were raised regarding deepening the relationship between Pai Chai University and KNU. The Rector of KNU expressed his readiness for further cooperation and emphasized the importance of sharing experience and knowledge.

The meeting resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of understanding, general agreements on further cooperation and exchange of information to determine specific steps to deepen the partnership.

Also present the meeting was attended by Deputy Dean for International Relations of Pai Chai University Ms. Song Yun An, Assistant Manager for International Relations Ms. Yoo Wa Lee, Director of the Sokuluk-Sejong Institute Ms. Kwon Seok Song, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of KNU Jenish Beksultanov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations of KNU Baktybek Keldibekov, and Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies Kazak kyzy Nurgul.
