On March 28, 2024 the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan, Ms. Du Dewen, met with students of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute and the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies.  Ms. Ambassador gave a guest lecture on the topic “Creation of a community of common humanity is the noble goal of China’s diplomacy”. Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov opened the event and expressed his pleasure to see Mrs. Du Dewen at the National University and thanked her for taking the time to give a lecture to the students.

After that, the floor was given to the Ambassador, Ms. Du Dewen expressed her pleasure to see the teachers-professors and students of the National University and started her lecture.

“The main goal of Chinese diplomacy is to protect human rights, to preserve the values of humanity in today’s globalized and complex society, to build equal prosperity and peaceful life for all, and to create equal conditions for all human beings, regardless of their nationality or race, anywhere in the world,” she said.

During the lecture, Ms. Du Dewen gave detailed information about China and emphasized that it is currently the most advanced country in terms of technology, economy, science and medicine. According to her, in order to use the environment rationally, in China electricity is obtained from sunlight and wind; since the Internet is highly developed, almost all payments are made online, using QR codes; cash is almost never used; the quality of education is excellent, the best personnel are trained, and production is growing.

Ms. Ambassador further spoke about the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, she mentioned about the technical support to the Kyrgyz Republic with buses and fire-fighting equipment that the People’s Republic of China provided, and also about the construction of the bridge in Naryn region.

The Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication, Shirin Kostyuk, thanked the Ambassador for her interesting lecture and asked for assistance in establishing cooperation with the journalism faculties of higher education institutions in China to train highly qualified professional journalists together. Ms. Du Dewen said she would take the request into account and action. At the end of the meeting Ms. Ambassador answered students’ questions.

Tolobek Abdyrkhamanov expressed his gratitude to Ms. Ambassador noted for her interesting and useful information lecture, and handed her over with a letter of thanks for the time and energy she put into this meeting.
