On January 24, 2024 the official opening ceremony of the "Anglia Examinations" international testing center was held at the National University. The center was opened in room 121 of the 5th educational building, and the red ribbon was cut by the Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov, the Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov, and the official representative of the Great Britain "Anglia Examinations" Center Mr. Martin Klotz. During a small meeting held at the newly opened Center, Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov, Deputy of the National Assembly Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov, Director of the Republican Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Pedagogical Staff Almazbek Toktomamatov, thanked the Center for providing opportunities for students and teachers to learn languages, and wished success to the Center's work. Baktybek Ismailov, the Director of the Agency for Accreditation of Educational Programs and Organizations, blessed the work of the project.

The official part of the event continued in the large meeting hall. The representative of "Anglia Examinations" Center in Kyrgyzstan Tilek Urkunchiev, took the role of moderator and gave the speech to the Rector Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov. He thanked Tilek Urkunchiev for choosing the National University among the higher educational institutions for implementing the project, noted that this project is a promising one for students and has great potential.

Altynbek Japarov, the Head of the Department of School and Out-of-School Education of the Ministry of Education and Science, emphasized that knowledge of English is the need of the today and said that this project will make a great contribution to language learning, the future of young people who know the language will be broad and it will benefit the country. According to the Head of the Department, the Ministry is also working in this direction and is trying to teach the language not only to students, but also to teachers.

Congratulatory words were said by Mr. Martin Klotz, the official representative of the "Anglia Examinations" Center of Great Britain, and Baktybek Ismalilov, Director of the Agency for Accreditation of Educational Programs and Organizations.

During the meeting, Mr. Tilek Urkunchiev and Mr. Martin Klotz made presentations in Kyrgyz and English and gave detailed information to students and teachers about the activities and directions of the "Anglia Examinations" project.

According to them, in addition to testing, the project will work in the following areas:

1. Double degree through online studies in English universities;

2. Language teaching books of 5 levels of "Anglia Examinations" Center;

3. English language testing centers;

4. Summer programs for children and students to study in the UK for 2 to 6 weeks;

5. Teacher training in the UK;

6. Improving the qualifications of teachers in Kyrgyzstan.
