On January 17, 2024 Vice-rector for scientific affairs Nazarkul Ishekeev received the program coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Mehmet Bodur and his assistant Sanjar Altymyshev. The guests first visited the Turkish language teaching center equipped by TIKA, the digital technology center named after K. Toktomamatov and the Kyrgyz-Turkish resource center named after Aziz Sanjar. The next part of the meeting continued in the conference hall of the rectorate. Nazarkul Ishekeev gave brief information about the National University and thanked the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency for contributing to the development of the University. After that, Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the Department for International Relations and Cooperation, made a brief presentation about the cooperation between TIKA and KNU.

Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology Roza Sarymzakova and Deputy Dilara Subankulova, Dean of the Faculty of Biology Shafika Suleymanova and Deputy Kunduz Musaeva, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Electronics Samat Toktogonov and Deputy Gulzat Ismailova attended the meeting, as well as Director of student dormitories Beksultan Shabdanov.

Deans of the faculty thanked the TIKA coordinator for setting up the necessary equipment, creating an environment to increase students’ interest in learning by conducting practical work, scientific research and experiments.

Mr. Mehmet Bodur thanked the leadership of KNU for the warm welcome. He emphasized that the main goal of the organization he leads is to provide comprehensive support to the brotherly nations, including the special importance of the education sector, and expressed that he was happy that the work he was doing was beneficial and not in vain.

- We are planning to open a Turkish language teaching center at the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology, and a “Knowledge Bishkek” center at the National University. If the relevant documents are signed, the project will be implemented starting from February. We believe that the opening of this project, which is working in Turkey to attract young people to science, will also bring good results in Kyrgyzstan. Inside the center there will be classrooms for natural sciences, digital technologies and design, and special courses will be organized for schoolchildren and students. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the university management and the Rector for allocating premises for the project. I am confident that students who come to the center will be guided to choose the right profession, - Mr. Mehmet Bodur concluded his speech.
