On December 18, 2023 a round table “Kyrgyzstan – Russia: directions and tools for the development of scientific communications” was held at the center of digital technologies, organized by the National Research Institute for the Development of Communications (Russia) and the Institute of History and Regional Studies of KNU. The event was held with the aim of expanding interaction between the scientific community of Russia and Kyrgyzstan to develop the scientific potential of the two countries. The participants of the round table were welcomed by the Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov and the Deputy director for scientific work of National Research Institute for the Development of Communications Valentina Komleva.

The main objectives of the round table event were: identifying the most popular areas and tools for the development of communications between scientists of Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the humanitarian field; identifying the potential for the participation of non-profit, non-governmental organizations in the development of scientific communications in Russia and Kyrgyzstan; identifying potential partners of the National Research Institute for the Development of Communications project in Kyrgyzstan; analyzing the role of the media in increasing the prestige of scientific specialties and attracting talented youth to science. The following representatives took part in the discussion: the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K.Dikambaeva – Akylbek Kylychev, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Kyrgyz Republic – Albert Zulkharneev, Third secretary of the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic – Fanis Shigapov, Attaché for education and science of the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic – Robert Fedorov, Project manager of foreign programs of National Research Institute – Elena Kuzmenko, General director of Press-TV LLC (TV channel “Asia TV”) – Asanbek Biygeldiev, Editor-in-chief of the information agency “Dostuk media” – Olga Kovaleva, Director of the Institute of History and Regional Studies of KNU – Turatbek Syrdybaev, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies of KNU – Kazak kyzy Nurgul, professors of KNU Rysbubu Beibutova, Shayirkul Batyrbaeva, Zairash Galieva, Anisa Bikbulatova, Evgeniy Kablukov and others.
