Award ceremony for the winners of the “Russia and Kyrgyzstan” competition at KNU

00On December 15, 2023 at the Big Assembly Hall of the main building, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the International History Competition “Russia and Kyrgyzstan: Territory of Friendship and Trust” among teachers and students of schools in Kyrgyzstan, organized by the Public Foundation “International Institute for the Development of Communications – World and East” (Kyrgyz Republic) in partnership with the National Research Institute for the Development of Communications (Russian Federation) and the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.

The organizing committee of the competition – which serves as a platform for discussing historical and cultural ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, the contribution of both countries to the formation of friendly and good neighborly relations, preserving the history of joint successes and achievements, common historical memory – received more than 120 applications for participation in the International competition from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. Members of the jury worked for several months to evaluate applications and video materials from various cities and villages of the republic in order to identify finalists, and then prize-winners and then first-prize winners of the competition in two categories: “The best open lesson” and “The best school project”.

The event participants were greeted by:

  • Eric Israilov – Director of the World East Foundation (Kyrgyz Republic);
  • Valentina Komleva – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the World East Foundation, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the National Research Institute for the Development of Communications, Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor (Russian Federation);
  • Muratbek Kasymaliev – Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Chingiz Aidarbekov – Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov – Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of History, professor;
  • Andrey Rostkov - Press secretary, First secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Robert Fedorov – Attaché for education and science, second secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Ainur Jorobekova – representative of the Diplomatic Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Turatbek Syrdybaev – Chairman of the jury, Director of the Institute of History and Regional Studies of the Kyrgyz National University n/a J. Balasagyn, candidate of historical sciences, professor;
  • Victoria Mozgacheva – Vice-mayor of Bishkek.

An awarding ceremony took place for the finalists in the following positions:

III place in the nominations of “The Best School Project” and “The Best Open Lesson”

II place in the nominations of “The Best School Project” and “The Best Open Lesson”

I place in the nominations of “The Best School Project” and “The Best Open Lesson”.

The competition participants who took 2nd and 3rd places received valuable gifts, and the teachers (10 people) and students (15 people) who took 1st place received a trip to Moscow as a prize.

In between nominations, the creative team of the school-gymnasium No.24 named after Aaly Tokombaeva performed Kyrgyz and Russian national dances.
