On November 10, 2023 the Kyrgyz National University hosted Republican Scientific and Experimental Conference “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Development of Education and Science” on the occasion of the International Day of Science. The Conference was organized by the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Before the Conference started, its participants got the opportunity to visit the exhibition organized in the entrance hall. There, representatives of higher educational institutions of the city presented the instruments, devices and various models in the field of science that they had developed.

The ceremonial meeting dedicated to Science Day took place in the Large Conference Hall of the main building. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Rasul Abazbek uulu moderated the Conference.

The Science Day conference participants were congratulated by Vice-Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Jamilya Isaeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Research, Policy Development and Implementation of Reforms of the Presidential Administration Oktyabr Kapalbaev, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Rasul Abasbek uulu, Vice-Mayor of Bishkek Victoria Mozgacheva, President of the National Academy of Sciences Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov and the Rector of KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov.

After the congratulations, the following scientific reports were made:

• Batyrkul Baetov – Secretary of the Council on Science, Innovation and New Technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers: “Increasing the efficiency of the scientific sector”;

• Kanybek Osmonaliev – Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic: “State language and artificial intelligence”;

• Mirbek Okenov – General Director of the company “Ulut Soft”: “Ways for the development of artificial intelligence in Kyrgyzstan”;

• Baratbek Sabitov – chief researcher at the Research Center for Artificial Intelligence of KNU: “Artificial intelligence in applied research: implementation and solutions”;

• Sharshenbek Zhusupkeldiev – chief researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of KNU: “Study of greenhouse gases in the air of the city of Bishkek and the Issyk-Kul basin”;

• Pavel Pankov – professor of the educational program “Software Engineering”, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences: “Analysis of artificial intelligence concepts and its use.”

During the Conference, awards were presented to some employees of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Commission on State Language and Language Policy, the National Attestation Commission, the Bishkek City Hall, and the National University.

The resolution of the scientific and experimental conference was read by the Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Amantur Ryspayev.

After the plenary session, the conference continued in the sections “Artificial Intelligence in Applied Research” and “Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Development of Education” with reports presented both online and offline.
