KNU has produced its first Master's degree students in a foreign language

On June 21, 2023 the solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas of Master-2023 took place  in the large assembly hall of the main building. KNU produces graduates masters of different areas every year, but exactly this day became historical for university, as KNU produces its first  Master's degree students in a foreign language for the first time in history. Earlier the Ministry of Education and Science of KR put a task before higher education institutions to carry out an enrollment of students of a bachelor's degree, a magistracy, and also PhD doctoral students in a foreign language.

The first graduates were master's students of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute. In addition to the graduates and the faculty of KNU, the event was also attended by the leadership of the university, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, embassies, employees of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, relatives and friends of graduates and others.

The event was opened with a speech by the Director of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute Sofia Apaeva, in which she congratulated everyone on such an important day in the history of the university, introduced the heroes of the occasion, as well as guests of the event. The first speaker with congratulations and parting words was a chief specialist of the Department of Professional Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of KR, Toolosbay Abylkasymov, then he presented the first diplomas to graduates, wishing all success in the future. After that the floor was given to the vice-rector on educational work KNU Erlan Bazarbaev, who thanked all foreign students for having chosen this university, wished them success in their future activities, admonished not to forget their alma mater and also gave diplomas to the next graduates, who successfully finished their studies. Professor Ali John, Senior Researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Professor Fatima Khavaza of the Center for Dungan and Chinese Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic also joined in congratulating and presenting diplomas.

After the awarding ceremony, the best graduates gave an acceptance speech in four languages, thanking the university and the entire faculty for the opportunity to study at one of the best universities in the country, as well as for the professionalism and quality of education.

Immediately after the official part of the ceremony, participants and guests enjoyed a short concert program prepared by 1st and 2nd year students of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute.The event ended with a joint photo on the background of the National University.

The Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute expands its  areas of training and areas of international cooperation. In this regard, the institute has new tasks, with new horizons. In the near future, the Scientific Council of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute intends to summarize this experience and improve this work in the future.
