On June 8, 2023, on the 3rd floor of the 3rd educational building, the opening of the Research Center "Artificial Intelligence" of the Institute of Fundamental Sciences took place. The red ribbon stretched in front of the center was cut by the head of the science department of the Ministry of Education and Science Zyldyzbek Dzhachylykov and the rector of the KNU Tolebek Abdyrakhmanov. After that, the participants of the ceremony got acquainted with the laboratories , "Applied Research and Robotics", "Artificial Intelligence and Big Data","R&D" (Research and Development)". Director of the Institute of Fundamental Sciences Amantur Ryspaev spoke about the structure of the center, the tasks assigned to it and the work that is being done.

According to him, the research center was created in order to consolidate and develop the activities of employees and scientific groups of KNU in the field of organizing scientific events, grant competitions, and expert and analytical work. The staff of the center organizes and expands close cooperation between the educational structures of the university with republican and foreign partners in the field of academic and industrial activities in artificial intelligence and information technology, develops scientific and technical projects in priority areas and implements them. In addition, they organize scientific and practical seminars, conferences, courses on the development of bachelor's and master's programs, advanced training of specialists and teachers in the field of "Artificial Intelligence".

In the laboratory of "Applied Research and Robotics", students and undergraduates told the leaders about the drone they made and flew around the room. Scientific research is carried out in the R&D laboratory, as a result of which some  product samples are developed. The acquired new knowledge is also used to create new products.

Tolebek Abdyrakhmanov said that, having come to the Kyrguz National University for a new position, he was not worried about the educational process, because there are plenty of people who can work in this direction in Kyrgyzstan, but he was worried "whether there will be someone who will work in this direction". But there are a lot of good boys and girls, especially among young people, and there are also were formed 3-4 teams from them. – They are strong guys who are very dedicated to their idea. Let them work, I believe that something good will come out of them. You do your best, others will also try it, asking, "Is it possible to do it?" Moreover, both the ministry and the government are very demanding in this direction. Tolebek Abdyrakhmanov also wished good luck them.

- I believe that the National University will be able to stand out from the ranks of higher educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan and become the university that the people are proud of. After all, the National University is the university from which all other universities came. There is a scientific and pedagogical potential. All you have to do is shake things up and do some work.
